  1. Foods that are encouraged
    1. Fruits and vegetables (4.5 cups or more per day)
      1. Fruits: 4-5 servings daily
      2. Vegetables: 4-5 servings daily
    2. Whole grains or Fiber: 6-8 servings daily
    3. Nuts, seeds or beans 4-5 servings daily
    4. Dairy (low fat): 2-3 servings daily
    5. Lean Meat: 2 servings daily
    6. Fish (preferably oily fish): 2 or more 3.5 oz servings per week
  2. Foods to limit
    1. Fat or oil 2-3 servings daily (<6% of daily calories is ideal)
    2. Red meat (limit to <3 oz up to 3 times weekly)
    3. Low Cholesterol intake (<150 mg daily is ideal)
    4. Low Sodium intake (<2.4 grams daily)
    5. Sweets: <5 servings per week
      1. Sweetened beverages <450 calories and <36 oz per week
