  1. Ages affected: 2 weeks to 6 months of age
  • Signs
  1. Characteristics
    1. Intensity: Grade II of VI murmur
    2. Early to Mid-systolic, medium frequency murmur
  2. Heard best at Left upper sternal border
    1. Radiates to both axilla or to back
  3. Sounds like breath sounds
    1. Briefly occlude nares
  4. Provocative conditions
  5. High output states
  6. Fever
  7. Anemia

  1. Pulmonary artery stenosis
  2. Pulmonic Stenosis
  3. Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
  4. Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA)
  5. Pathologic PPS
