Technique
Apply Stockinette
Cut stockinette long enough for patient to reach
Patient can assist procedure by pulling stockinette
Dorsiflexes foot to maintain functional position

Cast to tibial tuberosity
Avoid apply cast too high posteriorly
Results in irritation to popliteal space
End of cast

Tips of all toes should be clearly visible
Apply padding (web-roll)
Apply padding evenly to prepare all areas to cast
Apply additional padding to high pressure areas
Tibial tuberosity
Base of foot
Apply fiberglass material
Pearls
Apply fiberglass loosely
Gently and smoothly roll to avoid constriction
Use 3" fiberglass at foot
Apply additional layering underlying sole of foot
Use with Cast Boot only!
First layer
Apply without wetting fiberglass
Roll smoothly over length of padding
Fold stockinette over top of first layer
