  • Indications
  1. Differentiates Rotator Cuff Tear from Impingement
  1. Criteria
    1. Supraspinatus weakness on empty can test
    2. External rotation weakness on French Horn Test
    3. Impingement in external rotation or internal rotation on Hawkin's Test
  2. Interpretation
    1. Findings suggesting Rotator Cuff Tear
      1. All three criteria met above (98% chance)
      2. Two criteria met and age over 60 years
    2. Findings not consistent with Rotator Cuff Tear (<5%)
      1. No criteria from above met
      2. Drop Arm Test negative
