Attach monitor leads to patient (Mnemonic below)
White to Right
Red to Ribs
What's left over to the left

Attach conductor pads to patient at apex and

Alternatively apply gel to paddles

Announce to the Team
"Charging Defibrillator - Stand Clear"
Press CHARGE Button on apex paddle (right hand)

Check self for contact with patient
"Two, You're Clear"
Check others for contact (especially
Ventilator

"Three, everybody is clear"
Check self again for patient contact
Apply 25 pounds paddle pressure
Press discharge buttons on paddles simultaneously
