Aspiration not helpful since open communication
Withold surgery until after first year of life
Most will resolve spontaneously
Surgery for:
Large or enlarging
Hydrocele
Indirect Inguinal Hernia
(requires surgery ASAP)
Complications (Untreated large Hydrocele)
Incarcerated Hernia
or
Strangulated Hernia
Cryptorchidism
