  • Pathophysiology
  1. Compression Neuropathy of obturator nerve
  • Symptoms
  1. Deep ache at adductor origin near pubic bone
  2. Exercise provokes pain radiation and weakness
    1. Radiation from medial thigh into knee
    2. Exercise-related weakness (especially jumping)
  1. Indicated for symptoms greater than 3 months
  2. EMG shows denervation of adductor longus and brevis
  • Management
  1. Surgical neurolysis allows return to sport in weeks
