Sitting exam and supine exam are not consistent
Sitting test performed while distracting patient
Non-physiologic examination
Non-dermatomal sensory loss
Cogwheel or give-way weakness
Interpretation
Positive if 3 or more criteria positive
Positive test implies psychogenic back pain
