  1. Patient lies supine
  2. Examiner's thumb at 2 cm proximal to the lateral femoral epicondyle
  3. Patient repeatedly flexes (to 60 degrees) and extends knee
  • Interpretation
  1. Pain often worst when knee flexed at 30 degrees
