- Painful limp
- Chronic swelling in ankle with activity
- Examine ankle with foot in plantar flexion
- Point tenderness over articular surface of talus
- Restricted Ankle Range of Motion

- Necrotic fragment at joint
- Bone scan
- Ankle MRI
- Nondisplaced fragment
- No weight bearing until lesion heals
- Cast immobilization often needed
- Persistent symptoms or fragment detachment
- Surgical removal of necrotic fragment
