  • Dosing
  1. Directions
    1. Take on an empty Stomach
    2. Take more than 1 hour before or two hours after food
  2. Adult (or child weight >40 kg)
    1. Take 250 to 500 mg orally four times daily
  3. Child (age >1 month, weight <40 kg)
    1. Low dose (e.g. Upper Respiratory Infection, mild to moderate Skin Infections)
      1. Give 12.5 mg/kg/day orally divided four times daily
    2. Moderate dose (e.g. Pneumonia)
      1. Give 25 mg/kg/day orally divided four times daily
    3. High dose (Osteomyelitis)
      1. Give 50 to 100 mg/kg/day orally divided four times daily

  1. Warfarin
    1. Dicloxacillin may increase INR
