  • Indications
  1. Atrial Fibrillation Anticoagulation (used in combination with CHAD Score)
  • Criteria
  1. Age over 65 years old
  2. History of Gastrointestinal Bleeding
  3. History of Cerebrovascular Accident
  4. Other factors
    1. Recent Myocardial Infarction
    2. Hematocrit less than 30%
    3. Creatinine higher than 1.5
    4. Diabetes Mellitus
  • Interpretation
  1. Index risk stratifies patients into low, moderate and high risk of bleeding complications
