  • Pathophysiology
  1. Differs from Hepatic Adenoma
    1. Not caused by Oral Contraceptives
  2. Does however enlarge and vascularize with Estrogen
  • Symptoms
  1. Usually asymptomatic
  • Complications
  1. Rarely causes liver bleeding or rupture
  • Management
  1. None usually indicated
  2. Surgical resection indications
    1. Exclude malignancy
      1. Hepatic Adenoma
      2. Hepatocellular Carcinoma
    2. Hemorrhagic complications
