Contraindications
Sickle Cell Disease
Mechanism
Inhibits bicarbonate formation in the ciliary body
Results in decreased aqueous production (lowers IOP 15-20%)

Dorzolamide (Trusopt) 2%, 1 drop three times daily
Brinzolamide (Azopt) 1%, 1 drop three times daily
