Dosing
Adequate 24 hour
Blood Pressure
control may require twice daily dosing
Hypertension
Start 4 mg orally daily or divided twice daily
Start at 2 mg/day in renal dysfunction or concurrent
Diuretic
use
Target 4 to 8 mg/day
Coronary Artery Disease
secondary prevention
Start 4 mg orally daily for 2 weeks
May increase after 2 weeks to 8 mg/day
Congestive Heart Failure
(not FDA approved)
Start 2 mg orally daily
Maximum 16 mg/day
Maximum 16 mg/day
