  • Indications
  1. Chest Pain Evaluation (risk stratification)
  • Criteria (assign one point for each positive)
  1. Age 65 years old or older
  2. Aspirin used in the last 7 days
  3. Angina occurred 2 or more times in the last 24 hours
  4. ST changes 0.5mm or more on admit EKG
  5. Serum Troponin or other biomarker elevated
  6. Coronary Artery Disease history (with at least 50% Coronary Artery stenosis)
  7. Cardiac Risk Factors with at least 3 present (e.g. Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, premature CAD Family History, Tobacco Abuse)
  • Interpretation (2 week subsequent risk of death, Myocardial Infarction or need for revascularization)
  1. Score 0-1: 4.7% risk
  2. Score 2: 8.3% risk
  3. Score 3: 13.2% risk
  4. Score 4: 19.9% risk
  5. Score 5: 26.2% risk
  6. Score 6-7: 40.9% risk
