Sugar-Tongue Splint

  • Indications
  1. Distal radial and ulnar Fractures

  • Technique
  1. Position
    1. Wrist slightly extended
  2. Application
    1. Start splint from proximal palmar crease
    2. Continue the splint proximally along the volar Forearm toward the elbow
    3. Bend the splint to course behind the elbow
    4. Continue the splint distally toward the fingers
    5. Complete the splint at the dorsal MCP joints
