  • Epidemiology
  1. Age 30 to 40 year old peak onset
  2. Rare, benign soft tissue tumor of the plantar foot
  • Symptoms
  1. Burning pain or numbness in the affected foot region
  2. Possible nodular swelling in the region of the schwannoma
  • Differential Diagnosis
  • Management
  1. Follow asymptomatic growths
  2. Refer for surgical excision if symptomatic (biopsy and histology recommended)
