Non-ergot Dopamine Agonist available as a transdermal patch
- Technique

Patch Application
- Apply once daily (available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 mg)

Patch applied daily to a new dry, clean and intact skin site
- Hold patch in place for 20-30 seconds before removing hand
- Appropriate sites include Abdomen, thigh, flank, Shoulder, upper arm
- Wash skin after removal
- Do not repeat the same site for 14 days
- Remove patch prior to MRI, cardioversion
- Start at 2 mg/24 hours
- May start a 4 mg/24h patch in advanced Parkinsonism
- May increase weekly by 2 mg/24h patch to a maximum of 6 mg/24h (8 mg/24h in advanced Parkinsonism)
- Taper patch by 2 mg/24h every 2 days when stopping
- Start at 1 mg/24 hours
- May increase weekly by 1 mg/24h patch to a maximum of 3 mg/24 hours
