  1. Importing Content
    1. Right Click in the project Window > Import (Ctrl-I)
    2. May create composition automatically on import
  2. Creating New Composition
    1. Create a new folder to house the composition and associated content
    2. Right Click in the project Window > Create Composition (or click icon at bottom of window)
  3. Creating Single Composition from Multiple Footage
    1. In project window, select footage (ctrl-click) in order of their use
    2. Right-Click in Project Window > New Composition from Selection
    3. Use Dimensions from Video
    4. Set Still Duration (how long still images will display)
    5. Check Sequence Layers (will order by how they were selected) with or without overlap
  4. Compositing Process
    1. Drag content into timeline area, create primitive objects and arrange
    2. Animate Objects
    3. Modify timing

    1. Move time slider to position to make change

  1. Menu: Composition > Add to Media Encoder Queue
  2. In Adobe Media Encoder
    1. Select a Preset from Preset Browser (e.g. Social Media > YouTube)
      1. For online viewing, 720p is sufficient for most uses
    2. Drag the preset to the Queue Window
    3. Click preset in Queue Window to edit
      1. To reduce file output size, drop bitrate from 16 down to 5-8
