  • Indications
  1. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) for coronary revascularization and stent placement
    1. Patients who have not received P2Y12 Inhibitor or Glycoprotein IIB/IIIA Inhibitor
  • Mechanism
  1. See Platelet ADP Receptor Antagonist (P2Y12 Receptor Antagonist)
  • Dosing
  1. Load 30 mcg/kg IV before Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  2. Infuse 4 mcg/kg/min for at least 2 hours and until the procedure is complete
    1. Infuse via a dedicated line
  3. Give oral P2Y12 Inhibitor (Clopidogrel, Prasugrel, Ticagrelor) immediately after infusion complete
    1. Ticagrelor may be given during infusion (but NOT Clopidogrel or Prasugrel)
