  • Technique
  1. Regular cycles
    1. Obtain Serum Progesterone on Day 21 of cycle
  2. Irregular cycles
    1. Obtain Serum Progesterone 7 days before anticipated Menses onset
    2. Repeat serum pregesterone level weekly until Menses occur
  • Interpretation
  1. Serum Progesterone >5 ng/ml (15.8 nmol/L) suggests Ovulation
  2. Serum Progesterone <4 ng/ml suggests Ovulation did not occur
