  • Pathophysiology
  1. Transmission
    1. Skin-skin contact
    2. Contaminated surface
    3. Autoinocculation (e.g. scratching, shaving)
  • Signs
  1. Characteristics
    1. Early
      1. Small: Pinhead-sized, pale erythematous Macules
      2. Larger: Irregularly surfaced domed lesions
    2. Later
      1. Larger rough papillary (carpet-like)
    3. Variants
      1. Digitate, pink to grey
      2. Brownish "verrucous" Papules
  2. Location
    1. Hands (firm Nodules)
    2. Periungual warts (nail edges)
    3. Digitate lesions on Eyelids, nostrils, lips, oral
