Minor Starch-Iodine Test

  • Indications
  1. Hyperhidrosis
    1. Identifies area of focal Hyperhidrosis for treatment
    2. Used prior to Botulinum Toxin Injection or Microwave therapy for primary Hyperhidrosis
  • Technique
  1. Iodine solution 3-5% is applied to skin and dries
  2. Starch is applied to same area, and sweat turns purple
